Golf Club

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the golf day at Kooringal Golf Club has been postponed. A possible date may be in October. Please keep an eye here for future announcements.

The course is a hidden gem and not far from Melbourne. The course is described on their web site as:

The Course is challenging with the front nine having the most opportunities to build a good score. The back nine gets progressively harder and the whole Course rewards good thinking and strategy. The $1 Million Master Plan implemented by Craig Parry insists that golfers now need to think their away around the Course. Improvements to the Course are unique. The Course condition is generally excellent as we are located only 200 metres from the beach and are on a very sandy base.”

Allan Brennan had a game there back in November with Bernie Cooney and Phil Brennan and was very impressed with the layout and condition of the course. You get bay views and there are no hills!!

Many thanks to Bernie for his assistance in arranging this day.

Allan will be away for 10 days or so prior to the event so he may not be able to confirm your booking for a few days, but he will endeavour send out a list of starters by the 5 April.

Food will be available from the bar prior to play.

You are encouraged to have a look at the Kooringal Web Site and take particular note of their dress code.

Should you know any other ex SSBs, (men or women) be interested in a game of golf at an excellent course and enjoy great company, don’t hesitate to ask them along. Just forward to Allan Brennan their email address and he will include them in any future invitations.
